Twittered Out?



Does Twitter’s brief communication  style really improve our relationships or is it another unwelcome platform for advertising and self promotion? Do I really need to hear what  products/events people love via twitter?   

Ted Kruckel ’s “Twitter Off” article  deals with this topic  at http://issuu.com/bizbash/docs/nyla-winter-2010 .  He  shares interesting forms of  twitter usage that are thinly veiled forms of product promotion.  Having received plenty of  similar type of product promoting tweets myself, I agree with Ted ‘s conclusion: In the end, “the real social network is putting people together in person where interesting locales, meaningful content and thought-provoking design can still do magic”.
